Hello,
Today was our 2nd-to-last club meeting! I hope you all have been enjoying learning how to program, and I hope you all feel like you have learned a lot! I have been very impressed with your success so far. If you think you will continue using Codecademy to learn how to program, please tell me so I can find ways to help you if needed.
Our next meeting will be on April 10th
That meeting will be our final one for this school year. As promised we will be learning about robotics! Since you all now have some experience with programming, I will be teaching you how to program robots in a new programming language – RobotC. Together, we will program a robot to move, use its sensors to avoid obstacles, and do some pretty cool stuff.
For those without any programming experience, this club meeting will teach some general topics in the design and programming of robots. So, please encourage all of your friends to come!!! Even if they have not been to any previous meeting, I will allow anyone to come and learn some robotics, and see some awesome demonstrations of programming in action!
I attached a video to get you excited about the world of robotics. There are many opportunities in high school for those interested in robotics, so I urge you to come and learn!
Thanks for making this a great club!
